W New York – Union Square unveils a new look

Newly remodeled

Overview:

After a complete transformation, W New York – Union Square has returned as a bold new hub. Set in a 1911 Beaux-Arts landmark on the edge of the park, the hotel blends historic bones with a fresh, modern edge. Its 256 rooms and suites (including the sprawling Penthouse I Suite) are dressed in sculptural lighting, rich textures, and city-inspired artwork, with skyline and park views front and center. Seahorse, opening this fall, revives a storied Union Square brasserie with coastal flavors and seasonal produce, while the Living Room Lounge and Rooftop Bar promise DJ sets, artist residencies, and a steady pulse of late-night energy. Add a Peloton room, Technogym fitness center, and an unbeatable location with SoHo, Flatiron, and the East Village all within walking distance, and you’ve got Union Square reimagined for the now.

The Lake Como EDITION

Lake Como, Italy

Overview:

Lake Como has long been about old-world villas and cinematic glamour, but the new Lake Como EDITION rewrites the script with its signature cool. Set in a reimagined 19th-century palazzo on the western shore, the hotel pairs heritage architecture with EDITION’s sleek, social edge. Interiors are all about quiet drama—Calacatta marble, bespoke walnut, and soft lake-blue tones—while the 148 rooms (including 25 suites, two penthouses, and a private villa) bring a residential calm, many with French balconies looking across the lake onto Bellagio. Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco leads the dining, backed by a soaring lobby bar and poolside terrace that hum with energy. Then there’s the floating pool, private dock, and curated boat tours that put the lake right at your doorstep.

Waldorf Astoria New York

Reopened / remodeled

Overview:

After nearly eight years under renovation, the Waldorf Astoria New York has reopened in spectacular form. “The Greatest of Them All,” as Conrad Hilton once called it, now returns with 375 oversized rooms and suites that feel more like private apartments, complete with marble-clad bathrooms, custom bars, and Art Deco detailing. Its legendary Peacock Alley once again hums with clinking glasses beneath the restored Waldorf clock and Cole Porter’s piano, where the composer wrote many of his greatest hits during his 25 years living at the hotel. New highlights include Chef Michael Anthony’s brasserie Lex Yard and Yoshoku, a kaiseki-inspired Japanese dining experience. The restoration also revives icons like the Silver Corridor and Grand Ballroom while adding a 30,000-square-foot Guerlain Spa and 190 connecting rooms for families. Even the Waldorf Salad, first created here in 1893, makes its rightful return. At 301 Park Avenue, the Waldorf is once again setting the standard for New York luxury.

  • Fora’s Hilton for Luxury partner perks include a $100 hotel credit, daily breakfast, and an upgrade whenever possible.
